Position Type: Salary + Commission. 

Compensation: $65,000- $70,000 base - Plus Commission 

Title: Senior Event Sales Manager

Sales Focus: Event Sales, Restaurant Sales, Corporate Event Sales, Social Event Sales, etc. Experience is required. 

 

Job Purpose

The Senior Event Sales Manager is responsible for leading and managing the events sales team at Drive Shack & Puttery, driving revenue growth by prospecting new corporate and social event opportunities, converting leads, and providing strategic oversight to ensure seamless execution of events. This role will focus on high-level business development, team mentorship, and creating long-term event partnerships to enhance Drive Shack & Puttery market presence and profitability.

 

Responsibilities

  • Sell and coordinate events from booking to communicating details to the venue’s management teams, ensuring each client has a unique and memorable event.
  • Prepare sales reports to present to Drive Shack Inc. Corporate Office (weekly, monthly, and quarterly).
  • Lead the event sales team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to achieve revenue targets
  • Oversee the full event sales cycle, from prospecting and booking to execution, ensuring superior client satisfaction
  • Collaborate with executive leadership and regional directors to develop and implement event sales strategies
  • Prepare and present comprehensive sales reports for the Drive Shack Inc. Corporate Office (weekly, monthly, and quarterly)
  • Drive new business by identifying, pursuing, and securing corporate and high-value social event opportunities
  • Establish partnerships with key clients and industry leaders, representing Drive Shack & Puttery brand at networking events, trade shows, and expos regularly
  • Maximize revenues through strategic upselling and long-term event partnerships
  • Foster a culture of innovation, high performance, and client-focused service
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of local markets, providing insights and identifying opportunities to expand Drive Shack & Puttery's event business
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and best practices, promoting a safe working environment

Additional Information

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum five (5) years event sales experience, with at least two years in a senior or leadership role
  • Proven track record in business development and sales strategy
  • Demonstrated experience managing budgets, inventory, and cost controls
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent customer service and client relationship skills
  • Proficiency with event management and sales software (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; restaurant-specific software including point-of-sale systems and CRM tools)

 

Education 

  • High school or equivalent education required
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field preferred
  • Culinary/Hospitality Management Degree or Apprenticeship Program a plus.

Working Conditions

  • Primarily office-based work involving planning, strategizing, and coordinating across teams to manage various business initiatives.
  • Regular collaboration with both internal teams and external partners.
  • Requires adaptability to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Work hours may vary depending on business needs, with occasional requirements for evening, holiday, or weekend shifts.
  • Special conditions may include prolonged periods of sitting or standing, as well as the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
