Summerhouse Hosts Open House Fundraiser

Summerhouse Houston, a local nonprofit, will officially become a member of west Houston on August 22, 2019 as the organization moves into their brand-new building in Spring Branch! To welcome participants, families, and community supporters to the new building, Summerhouse is hosting their annual fundraiser at their new home on Saturday, October 12, 2019 from 5 - 8 pm.

This event, "Cirque du Summerhouse", is a carnival-themed evening of live entertainment from local band "Runaway Radio", cirque performers, auctions, food, drinks, and the official dedication of the new building. Summerhouse expects 250-300 supporters in attendance. Tickets go on sale August 1 at https://summerhouse.schoolauction.net/cirque/ . 

Summerhouse has been serving young adults with intellectual disabilities and autism in the Heights for 8 years. With the organization's move to Spring Branch, Summerhouse will be able to more than double the impact of their program. Summerhouse provides job coaching and placement, social and independent living skills training, and positive behavior supports in a community-based setting.
