The Women’s Excellence in Business (WEIB) series is an extension of the Chamber's successful Women Driving Business series. It consists of four intimate luncheons (limited to 100 guests), attended by professional women, business owners, and community leaders who come together to enjoy a memorable meal while making connections with fellow women and hearing from extraordinary guest speakers. WEIB is beyond advice, beyond networking, beyond lunch – WEIB is a movement to become reinforced, get inspired, and share the experience.

Keynote Speaker:
Amber Elliott, Society and Life's Passages Writer, Houston Chronicle

Amber Elliott’s glossy magazine addiction began with VOGUE and Vanity Fair during her teen years and escalated to a full-blown love affair when she became the editor of Austin’s premiere luxury & lifestyle publication, Brilliant magazine just two weeks before her college graduation.

Since moving to New York in 2010, she’s earned her stripes in the fashion and accessory closets at Conde Nast Traveler and VOGUE before becoming a Market Stylist in the Special Events department at the famed fashion bible. Elliott further honed her sartorial eye supporting Style.com Market Director Marina Larroude and street style star, Russian Tatler Fashion Director Anya Ziourova fashion editorials for emerging market books including VOGUE China, VOGUE Ukraine and Allure Russia.

Her celebrity styling repertoire counts projects with Grammy winner Miranda Lambert, Gossip Girl star Penn Badgely, Alessandra Ambrosio, the Emmy honored Tina Fey and most recently, dressing the team behind the critically acclaimed documentary Inocente for the red carpet when they won on Oscar at this year’s Academy Award ceremony.

Today, Elliott covers the society scene for the Houston Chronicle and penning a weekly style column for Retail Me Not. She also enjoys collaborating on curator driven events with Maker’s Mark, The Chelsea Music Festival, SoHo House, The New Traditionalists, Maison Kitsune and maintains an ongoing relationship with the CFDA and their continued support of fostering new talent. In Houston, she supports The Printing Museum's Young Professional's Group, The MisPrints, and Discover U.
