Senior Vice President for Regional Workforce Development at the Greater Houston Partnership
The Greater Houston Partnership whose mission is to make the Houston region the best place to live, work and build a business. He leads the Partnership’s UpSkill Houston initiative—a business led effort that engages more than 200 employers, educational institutions, community-based organizations, and the public workforce system. UpSkill Houston works to ensure that the region’s businesses have access to workers with the skills and credentials for advanced and technical careers and occupations that require education and skills beyond a high school diploma but less than a four-year college degree. Prior to joining Greater Houston Partnership, Peter served in executive roles at United Way Worldwide (Alexandria, VA), the Fannie Mae Foundation (Washington, DC), Habitat for Humanity International (Americus, GA), and Semmes, Bowen & Semmes (Baltimore, MD). Peter received his A.B. in economics from Davidson College (NC) and J.D. (magna cum laude) from Syracuse University College of Law (NY).
Senior Case Management Supervisor
West Houston Assistance Ministries
Neysa Gavion is the Senior Case Management Supervisor at West Houston Assistance Ministry. She is the mother of two college students. She received her bachelor?s in psychology and social work from Southern University. She received her Master?s in Social Work from Southern University. She has currently started the process of working on her PHD in Psychology from the University of Southern California. Mrs. Gavion currently holds credentials in the following areas case management, registered social worker (LA), certified in working in the area of advanced children, youth and family services. She has worked in the field of social services for 18 years and has served in every capacity. Mrs. Gavion has worked as an at Risk Administrator, Medical social worker, a social worker in the field of gerontology in Louisiana, a social worker for CPS (LA) and a Project Manager for at least five nonprofit organizations. She has currently worked for West Houston Assistance Ministries where she has served for the past two years. Her life?s goal has been to empower, advocate and transform the life?s of every client that crosses her path

Proven business professional focused on client development with 25+ years of leadership and management experience. Experience includes executive and big box retail management, training and development, recruiting, data analysis and real estate transactions. Partners with the Astrodome Workforce Solutions office to assist business with their HR needs.
